Flint is now hiring an EU affairs manager (mid-level position, 4-7 years of experience) to serve our cross-sectoral client base in Brussels. You need to be proactive, solution-driven, able to manage projects and people, willing to go the extra mile, and have excellent attention to detail.

Members of our multi-national team have experience working at the most senior levels in European governments, the EU institutions, regulatory agencies, competition bodies and the private sector. We support companies who face the challenges of regulatory and policy change at national, European, and international levels. 


Your Skills and Experience


  • Demonstrated interest in EU affairs and knowledge of at least one policy area, such as the Green Deal, digital, healthcare/pharmaceuticals, or financial services.
  • Good project management, organisational and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritise, plan and schedule tasks proactively and independently. Comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Flexible approach and the ability to work well across teams, both with colleagues, senior clients or stakeholders. Manage upwards and downwards and provide coaching to junior team members.
  • Outstanding written communication skills, with proven ability to draft clear documents for internal and external audiences with varying degrees of expert knowledge.
  • Outstanding oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex issues to non-specialists and to convey your message in a humble yet effective manner.
  • Excellent analytical and research skills. Ability to obtain a solid overview of new and complex subject matters in a short period of time. Drive for analytical rigour and quality.
  • Direct experience in EU affairs and advocacy in a consultancy, trade body, corporate office or EU institution is a strong asset.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is required. Knowledge of other EU or UN languages is an advantage.
