Flint is now hiring an EU affairs consultant (entry position, up to 2 years of experience) to serve our cross-sectoral client based in Brussels. You need to be proactive, solution-driven, willing to go the extra mile, and have excellent attention to detail.

Members of our multi-national team have experience working at the most senior levels in European governments, the EU institutions, regulatory agencies, competition bodies and the private sector. We support companies who face the challenges of regulatory and policy change at national, European, and international levels. 

 

Your Skills and Experience

 

  • Demonstrated interest in EU affairs and knowledge of at least one policy area, such as the Green Deal, digital, healthcare/pharmaceuticals, or financial services.
  • Excellent analytical and research skills. Ability to obtain a solid overview of new and complex subject matters in a short period of time.
  • Outstanding written communication skills, with proven ability to draft clear documents for internal and external audiences with varying degrees of expert knowledge.
  • Outstanding oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex issues to non-specialists and to convey your message in a humble yet effective manner.
  • Good project management, organisational and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritise, plan and schedule tasks proactively and independently. Comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Flexible approach and the ability to work well across teams, both with internal colleagues and external clients or stakeholders.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is required. Knowledge of other EU or UN languages is an advantage.
